workshop TITLE:

Plus ID methodology: 3D Facial Prosthesis with smartphones, free software, and 3D printers

Date:

6th -7th  November 2018

Price:

2000 EGP

About the workshop:

The participants will learn about the “Plus Identity Technique (+ID)” which uses low cost and affordable technology to create 3D Facial Prostheses. This methodology is an alternative method to fabricate prostheses with ease and with low cost to reach the form of the desired prostheses. Smartphones are used to capture the 3D anatomy of the patients through 3D photography, free CAD software is used to design the 3D prostheses and CAM solutions to prototype the final form of the prostheses. Participants will learn how to manipulate all these processes and will understand the free software philosophy.
